August always feels a little bittersweet. Autumn is coming, back to school sales have started, and the kids are trying to finish their summer reading.
But at the same time, there is still a lot of fun to be had! Trips to amusement parks, water parks, the seashore, and tubing down local rivers, as well as quiet times, sitting in a fragrant garden with a glass of iced tea and a good book, a hike in the woods with your dog, or the whimsy of creating a fairy garden with your kids.
The hot days tempt you to be lazy, but the speeding calendar urges you to fit in as much fun as you can before it’s back to the grind of school and activities, homework, short days, and cold nights.
Make sure you squeeze what you can from this month, but at the same time, remember to take the time to soak up the sun and smell the roses!
